2 Days Marrakech to Zagora Desert Trip

After having breakfast in your hotel/Riad in Marrakech, your driver/guide will pick you up at 08 am max then head south driving through the High-Atlas Mountains over the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2260 m). The views across the snow-capped mountains in wintertime along with the “Berber Villages” that are built in adobe & stone offer great opportunities for memorable shots. You may want to include a short break in a local Agran Cooperative, which is run by women so that you can form an idea about how this unique to Morocco product is being extracted from the Argan seeds to make oils, cosmetics, soaps and much more.

Later, you will have a guided tour of the UNESCO preserved Ait Benhaddou Village with its striking Kasbahs (fortresses). It has been used as a backdrop for shooting many Hollywood Movies including Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator, Kingdom of Heaven, Prince of Persia and many others. After lunch, you will continue on the track further south to Zagora driving through the impressive Anti-Atlas Mountains with its unique geological formations. 

You will drive through the palm valley of Draa with its countless palm trees before arriving in Zagora in the late afternoon. Go for the camel ride experience while enjoying the breathtaking view of the sunset. Arrive to our desert camp where you will be received with a warm welcome by the staff members, have a meal for dinner and enjoy the stars that illuminate the horizons.
